to a pandemic (that has now claimed 150K+ lives) as a hoax, the flu, "kung flu", a president who urges citizens to "liberate their states" during a pandemic followed by armed citizens marching on state capitals, a president who talks about slowing down testing during a pandemic, a president who appoints his son-in-law to head up PPE procurement and vaccine development, a president who for the longest time refuses to wear a mask saying it makes him look weak spawning a bunch of anti-mask lunatic "freedom fighters", and then after finally showing a speck of maturity by actually donning a mask, turns around and wipes out any positives by tweeting total nonsense BS about how we don't need to wear masks -- and if I ever defend that type of behavior from the president during one of the most challenging public health crises this country has faced in the last 100 years as being remotely accepable, you have my blessing to refer to me with any pejorative term you want. I would hope my friends and family would stage an intervention long before it got to that point.

I'd at least have a *little* respect for you if your position was, "you know, Trump is a fucking moron and is an embarrassment to the office of the presidency, and has been actively working counterproductively to the nation's efforts to control the virus, but I think his tax and regulatory policies are more favorable for me and the economy over the long run than the policies of Joe Biden". I'd wonder whether you've been living under a rock for the last 4 months, but you'd at least recognize that Trump is not normal and nothing about how he conducts himself or has handled (or not handled) the pandemic is remotely acceptable behavior for the President of the US. But it seems there's no limit to what Trump could do that would cause your support to waiver one iota. I think he's right that he could actually shoot someone on 5th avenue and people would still support him, and you'd be leading the cheers.

And you are right that it's sad. I just learned that you're not actually uneducated... which only makes your membership in the Trump cult even more sad. Perhaps you're more in the first of the two categories than I realized.
