or "schools are more liberal now." Higher education is accused of leaving behind traditionally liberal principles like free inquiry, ideological diversity, rational debate iso common ground, etc in favor of what's been called 'hyperliberal' ideals. "Re-education camps for radical thought" may be hyperbole, but colleges and universities have legitimate issues per critics across the political spectrum.

John Gray is a pretty cool British dude imo, far from a Fox News panelist or even right winger type, this piece speaks to issue in a non-ideological or partisan way. Been building for years, decades (well before George Floyd) and it will only expand in influence as more students matriculate into the real world. Pretty impossible to reverse imo, the ship has sailed, and it's fair to say the current climate is at least in some part a product of it. Can't find a non-paywalled version, but the intro gives the gist.
