Not sure that's a fair comparison. Cults are typically about subjugating

your own will to follow the will of one physically present leader. Pentecostalism is rooted in literal interpretations of biblical passages and is less about the earthly leader and more about demonstrating a manifestation of the Holy Spirit in one's self, i.e. speaking in tongues, snake handling, casting of demons, spiritual healing). Its still crazy, but a different type of crazy, that's more centered on the ethereal God or Jesus.
