Let's just assume she is guilty of lying about a 1% American Indian heritage, or whatever she actually did. You are raising that, essentially as a "whattabout" (which is ok in politics - people should call foul on hypocrisy), in a discussion about the rise of white racism in the US and across the world, and the role played by tolerance of Trump's outrageous statements and tweets in that.

I'm not a Warren guy at all (I dread her getting the nomination, which I suspect is a growing possibility), and to the extent she did this as the right wants to characterize it, then man, how shamefully petty. She should be called out - assuming this is more than a right wing bullhorn applied to a very minor issue. I don't really know.

I know it doesn't work as a piece of equivalence here. We're talking about a guy who can get away with saying things nobody else can, in some cases empowering white nationalists who sing his praises, and people die as a result. Getting to a point where it is just as deadly as the Islamist extremism that motivated Trump to call for Nazi-like registration of all American Muslims.

These things are just a tad worse that Lizzie's petty effort to gain some minority street cred, petty and dishonest as that is.
