I am not certain. People I know, competent professionals, believe

in these things. To their bones.

I have always maintained that we, most of us, are reasonable people that can have reasonable disagreements. But with the amplifiers of social media and (all) politicians pushing us farther and farther away from common ground this feels dangerous.
