Of course he was an anomaly in this day and age, but I see this as a bad idea. I think we are wrestling with balancing academics with the big business of college sports as it is. The military academies are special in their mission, and I think it would be wise to keep things as they are, which effects very few athletes and keeps focus on where it should be - highly selective, elite academic training for our military services.

I think that serves the country far better than trying to let West Point compete with a Klempsun in FB or a UVa in hoops.
