Since, like Trump, I'm completely ignorant on the rules, do they make a


distinction between intentionally blocking/impeding and incidental? The horse definitely went wide obviously, and if that's enough in and of itself, then good call. But it didn't appear it was done to purposefully block another horse. I saw tons of supposed horse racing "experts" furious about the decision.

I was looking at it somewhat like an F1 fan where a driver can block to one side to hold position, but can't switch and block the other side or double block. (granted this would be the first block attempt) Of course there, the driver is basically in complete control, whereas here the horse has a voice too.

FTR I couldn't care less if Trump is right or wrong, or whether he tweeted or not. Just curious and trying to learn the rules and why others like you seem to think it was a no brainer.
