the politically appointed head of the DOJ. Since you speak of independence, the person heading the agency should and must be faithful to the evidence and the law and not the person who hired him. An oath of office is taken and it makes no mention of protecting a man or a political point of view.
As we speak, THAT principle is being tested by the current AG, and yet we want to kibbitz about a conspiracy theory that was laid to rest 2 years ago?
