It wasn’t just skillful tax avoidance planning, maybe stretching a fact here or a law there; that stuff is generally understood to be what rich people do. This on the other hand, was just blatant lying and omission to the tune of tens of millions of dollars..

It all predates the Presidency by decades and I don’t see how it’s in any way impeachable ( confession: I didnt think “original” Whitewater was logically possible to lead to an impeachment either, but I didn’t count on Clinton lying Nader oath WHILE President) but I do think it’s going to be a real problem for Trump post-Presidency ( if I understand statute of limitations tolling, which I may not) and I can see how it’s a problem for a judge like Sis here, right now.

EDIT I think they are free from criminal liability, but face clawback plus penalties in a civil tax fraud suit potentially in excess (300% penalty for NYS taxes) of their respective net worths.
