Just an observation - you understand, I hope, that FOX led the way on media bias. At least as it currently manifests. In some ways, Watergate showed us how much money there is in non-sterile news, which came to be viewed as a norm during the age of Walter Cronkite and 3 to 5 TV stations per market. Of course that state of affairs was the exception, not the norm in human history, brought on by the earliest days of TV.

We're past that now. Really, we've reverted to historical norms on press behavior, and we're just spoiled by they way things were to a degree, but even more, by the way we re-imagine that they were when longing for the good ol' days.

FOX to their credit showed them all how its done. Say what you want about Roger AiIes, but the man was a visionary. Why do righties exclude FOX from "the media"? You understand, that in this game, less is more, right? FOX loves being the de facto MSM choice of the entire right wing chamber. You get that gives them more power and influence, not less, than, say CNN or MSNBC, who compete with each other.

For those concerned about inaccuracy in reporting (almost nobody really is, they're just concerned about biased wording they don't like, and everyone massively overstates how often reporting is really inaccurate in their zeal to discredit the press demon of their choice), the best thing that could happen would be to see FOX's stranglehold on the right wing echo chamber challenged. But in the MSM right now, FOX reigns supreme in terms of the power it wields.
