sports towns around but the Caps are a lot of fun to follow. Helps that a few of the players live around me and they practice in Arlington so they're really part of our community.

I like NBA but aside from a Wiz game or two, don't really pay attention until the playoffs and really just couldn't care less about MLB. I always enjoy going to a Nats game with clients or friends, but that's about the extent of it for me.

What's a killer for DC is the fucking Redskins. They play all the way out in a depressing part of the Maryland suburbs with literally nothing around other than a big parking lot and a few sad strip malls that aren't even walking distance. FedEx is in the running for the lamest stadium in pro sports, IMHO. Then you layer on the futility of the organization, the deplorability of the owner, and I find myself just tuning out. It would be a lot different if they built a new football stadium down where the Nats play where one could hop in a cab or metro and go bar hopping then to the game. When I visit my friends in Baltimore that's how it is and it's really fun. Seattle seems that way too, although never been to a game up there.
