It's only ever meant one thing, and probably was just an inside joke that

they thought was hilarious. "Bart, have you boofed yet?" is clearly his buddy giving their joke a shout out. Why on earth he couldn't just be honest and say "you know, we were high school boys, and at the time there was this urban legend that you could funnel booze up your butt. It was juvenile and gross, but we thought it was really funny because we were kids. It wasn't something we actually ever did, just something my friend and I -- as immature teenage boys -- joked about. And it had nothing to do with sex or how we viewed or treated women, which has always been with respect."

Not hard. FFFFFourth and Devil's Triangle may have been tougher to explain though, so he lied about them too.
