sending the Doc and his family on a fully paid trip to a 5 star Hawaiian resort for being such a good proponent for such and such drug. I thought I had read where that stuff was a thing of the past, but again I could be totally wrong.

As a side note btw, the 60 Minutes story actually talked about how much success they were having with the smaller players (doesn't discount your point which is generally true, because these being controlled substances made it easier to go after at that level). It was only when they realized the problem was too big to go that route, and started going after the distributors like McKesson that the corruption, err I mean lobbying, dollars kicked in to create the kickback.

Definitely a good expose on the sleaze of lobbying and corrupting effects we all know happens on both sides of the aisle and all industries, but hopefully the size and emotions behind our opiate problems gives this one a little more traction to become a better known example. I realize there are Dems in the pharma pockets too, but I would love to see Marino and Blackburn get called out even more and held to the fire for their role in this one. Just not holding my breath.
