Ibuprofen alone after a cesarean is wholly inappropriate

I’m glad your wife is a champ. You don’t need to go home with 50 oxycodone, but you should still go home with some in the event of acute pain.

We can’t call in narcotics anymore. So if you don’t send them home with some, and they end up needing some, the patient has to come to the office or is out of luck if it’s not business hours. Led to a better safe than sorry approach, where people who may not have needed them were getting sent home with them.
