Meaning if "people agree with me, they are on more solid ground"
The CBO provides all kinds of data on the HC bill and how it will be a disaster, but of course people of your "ilk" (just paraphrasing you) will ignore them as uselessly partisan when it leads to conclusions you don't like, but will happily cite them in your own posts when they lead to conclusions you do like.
When you endlessly lump people together as belonging to some "ilk", then you are the bullseye of a person who needs to read this book. Not that I expect you to or think it has any hope of encouraging you to think critically about your partisanship, but it was mostly designed for you.
People who decide that all that data supports them and therefore they don't need to compromise to take different opinions into account - those are the people that need to be marginalized if we are ever to get anything done in this country.
