I have discarded Waters, but not for his Wall imagery. The story of Pink becoming a fascist is simply part of the story and Waters is simply acting out that part of the story. My issue is more of his complete disregard for context in his public statements. Drawing an equivalence between Anne Frank and a Palestinian journalist is delusional. So is his denouncement of Israel combined with his nonchalance at Russia's attack on Ukraine. It does not stand up to scrutiny to draw equivalence between Israel's actions and the actual holocaust while at the same time claiming that Russia's invasion was "not unprovoked." That's when he lost me for good and why I refused to attend his most recent tour.
