I presented in the post you just responded to? Obviously, the citizens arrest defense didn’t work. Hopefully, they clear that law up so it never comes into play again without everyone knowing the outcome in advance. My question is, what if they didn’t claim they were trying to make a citizens arrest? I don’t believe they were trying to arrest him or had him entrapped. I think they just wanted to get Arbery’s identity & Arbery refused to comply. I will never believe they wanted to murder him, I think it’s insane to run up to a man and try to take his gun away & I still don’t think they deserve life in prison.

Btw- I know in my heart that I would have the same opinion whether or not the roles were reversed and Arbery was white and the McMichael’s were black. We need to get past race being an issue in everything in this country. I wonder how many others would feel the same? Can you say that? Do you think blacks would be happy if the McMichael’s were black & horde of white people were outside the courtroom with rifles, wearing mask? Do you think blacks in this country would trust a jury’s verdict if there were threats of riots & destruction by not just a crowd of white people outside the courtroom but across the country, if three black men weren’t found guilty? I don’t like that situation any which way. It’s wreaks of mob rule, which a civil society should never ever have.
