That is why i say probably. I was more focused on the rittenhouse trial, so i missed some of the trial. The defense for the mcmichaels basically know they lost the case on friday when the judge ruled on the interpretation of the law. Nate the lawyer did a great summary of Friday's ruling.

I agree it is dumb to try to take a gun away, but if the act leading up to that is illegal, you dont get self defense. Example if someone robs a bank and kills someone that tried to stop it, the bank robber has no right to self defense. Same theory in this case and my conclusion has nothing to do with race. The McMichaels were acting like Huber and grosskewitz in this case where they thought they were doing good, but the law was not on their side.
