Your anti-vaccine obsession is so sad -- the conclusion of this
particular paper is that it makes sense to prioritize 65+ and those in nursing homes for boosters because -- gasp -- exactly as was noted from the start, this vaccine like any vaccine is going to spur less antibody activity among the oldest populations who already have by definition of their age the least active immune systems.
It does not mean the vaccine itself is still not effective and in fact the most effective tool we have in the box. There is now massive evidence of overall vaccine safety AND effectiveness across ALL groups -- but some will have less antibody response than others. FWIW, this also is not attempting to pass judgment on things like possible T-cell immunity response and what may still be good defense even among those with the weakest immune systems. It is only measuring antibody response - something it would still be nice to see at the highest levels across all groups for the longest times possible, but we will take what we can get assuming some real help ---- which it is unbelievably apparent that this has been.
Your description of "vax failure" is wrong -- and your endless search for any data point you can find to cheerlead for your message is really one of the sadder things on this board. I'm sure you have some family or community somewhere around you. Do something positive. [Post edited by fishhoo at 11/21/2021 9:03PM]
